Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)

for Individuals in Ontario, Alberta, and BC

Explore your thoughts with curiosity and compassion—online CBT therapy that meets you where you are

Sometimes our thoughts can feel like facts—especially the ones tied to fear, self-doubt, or harsh self-criticism. You might find yourself feeling stuck in repetitive patterns like overthinking, imagining worst-case scenarios, or being hard on yourself when things go wrong.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is a supportive and collaborative approach that can help you better understand these thought patterns, recognize where they come from, and gently create space for new perspectives.

I offer online CBT therapy to individuals in Ontario, Alberta, and British Columbia. Together, we can work toward more clarity, self-understanding, and emotional ease.

What Is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy?

CBT is an evidence-based approach that explores the connection between your thoughts, emotions, and behaviours. In my practice, I use CBT to support clients in noticing patterns in their thinking, getting curious about them, and learning to relate to those thoughts in a more compassionate way.

Rather than trying to "think positively" or force change, CBT can offer a space to:

  • Understand how certain thoughts may be shaped by past experiences or unmet needs

  • Soften patterns of self-criticism, fear, or avoidance

  • Identify and appreciate your inner resources and strengths.

  • Consider more balanced perspectives and new possibilities

This way of working with thoughts can help you feel more grounded, less overwhelmed, and better able to navigate difficult moments.

What Can CBT Help With?

I use CBT to support individuals navigating a range of challenges, including:

  • Anxiety and overthinking

  • Perfectionism and fear of failure

  • Low self-esteem and self-doubt

  • People-pleasing and difficulty setting boundaries

  • Emotional overwhelm or difficulty managing stress

  • Negative self-talk, guilt, or shame

If you're feeling stuck in your head, disconnected from your strengths, or unsure how to move forward, CBT can offer a gentle and practical path toward healing.

How I Use CBT in Therapy

My approach to CBT is collaborative and personalized. I don’t follow a rigid or manualized structure—instead, I adapt the tools and principles of CBT to meet you where you are, and to explore your experiences with nuance and care.

In therapy, we might:

  • Notice recurring patterns in your thinking

  • Explore how those patterns relate to emotions, past experiences, or your sense of self

  • Reflect on your capacity to cope and how you've managed hard moments before

  • Introduce alternative ways of seeing yourself and your experiences—without rushing or forcing change

Over time, this process can help you build emotional resilience, greater self-trust, and a more compassionate inner dialogue.
